4: JESUS im an idiot... being OCD and the likes, i was annoyed at how the player kind of 'rises' up through the overshot terrain when you jump because the yvel isnt limited.... well genius me, after revisiting RHY's project for we'll say 'inspiration' added the simplest single block to fix this! yvel = (yvel*friction) This stops yvel from increasing exponentially and creates a terminal velocity! Yes this update is for ONE block, but im so happy because today nirvanna 3:Just a minor update, ive been playing with cameras and physics, ive kind of gotten rid of the bug were the animation and subsequemt audio are played when camera pans using an animation impact sprite as foottest... basic but it pretty much works. ALso added some nice visual features :D Find the game on my new(ish) page at scratch.mit.edu/users/textbook This is just to show off some fun ive been having :P Please note: This is not anything like the final game will be :P In the face of two+ months of leave following some terrible exams, and in spite of my suspected failure of level 1, inspired by a brief convo on a facebook page, i churned this out :P I just shoved some basic movement and animation stuffz in here last night just to see what it looked like :P The final game will sidescroll with AI enemies, pickups and things :P Ive done that before :P but i want to do it right this time :P Once in game: Use WASD to move Use Space to melee attack Use Numbers 1-3 to switch active weapon Use 8 to relayer HUD Use 9 to do random stuff!
