WELCOME TO SPACE SURVIVAL [PLEASE READ]: Controls: [Arrow Keys] or [W, A, S, D] to move your ship. [Space] to use your shield. [Mouse] to shoot and make menu selections. Your laser can also collect resources for you from a distance. Breaking asteroids creates resources. >>> CLICK GEAR in bottom left for Upgrades Menu and to Pause, and speaker to toggle music [Gameplay]: You are a little spaceship on a recovery mission. Your goal is to dock with other spaceships (little grey squares) and rescue as many stranded crew as possible. The other ships will float in and out periodically. To rescue crew, you need to "Dock" with those ships by assuming a similar enough velocity (speed and direction) while touching the stranded ship. However while doing this you will need to collect resources to keep your crew alive and also make it possible to survive. To get FUEL, you must collect the glowing radioactive rods. To get FOOD you need to collect the ice cream sandwiches (the true space food). To collect upgrades, you need to collect the COINS and crew. To upgrade your ship and pause the game, click the gear in the bottom left corner. There are 3 columns in the menu. The middle and right columns cost Coins. The left column cost nothing, but you need to reach that many crew to unlock and upgrade those perks. Clicking the Gear also pauses the game. Lastly on the bottom right is your Morale meter. Destroying asteroids, getting food, and doing some other good things will raise the Morale of your crew. Getting hit by asteroids, running low on a resource, and killing off crew will lower morale. Morale effects the rate of some on ship activities, like Farming, oxygen consumption, and other things. Your Morale meter will also affect your score quite a bit. Post High-Scores in the Comments!!! TIPS: Your score is most effected by your number of Crew and your Morale level. The longer you last, with more people and high morale, the faster your score will increase. Fuel depletion is dependent on the total weight of everything on your ship, so the more CREW, FUEL, FOOD, and O2 or higher Engine Power you have on your ship, the more fuel you will have to use to maintain your acceleration. You can upgrade Fuel Efficiency to counter this. You may also pass through the edges of the screen. But beware, they can be riskier to get close to. As time goes on you may find it harder to be near the edges. Breaking asteroids is very helpful early on, along with conserving fuel. Your laser starts with poor accuracy and range. Conserve fuel by slowly floating around and breaking asteroids as they get close. If O2 goes critical, you can "Repair Ship" to restore O2 to its maximum state. This costs a few coins though, so it's good to have a few saved up, however it does not stop depletion if O2 is unstable. Food depletion and O2 depletion increases as your crew increases. Killing off crew could save you in the case of unstable O2, by reducing the amount of bodies so the O2 can stabilize, or can save you from using up all your food if food is dropping too quickly. However, having crew can make it easier to repair damages to O2, and more people consume food faster which increases your Waste to Fuel capacity.
