This song is exactly what Redfury said to Bluestream when he died. READ ON PLEASE for her story and his words. "Now, the night is coming to an end. Oh.. The sun will rise, and we will try again. Oh... Stay alive, stay alive, for me. You will die, but now your life is free, Take pride in what is sure... to... die. I will fear the night again. Oh.. I hope I'm not my only friend. Oh.. Stay alive, stay alive, for me. You will die, but now your life is free, Take Pride In what is sure To Die. Ever since Redfury died, Bluestream felt like a rotting chunk of driftwood floating aimlessly in the sea, or a forgotten leaf whispering in the wind, no use to anyone at all, without a life or heart, or whatever left of it was wasted away anyway. She wandered hopelessly among the towering pine oaks of her Clan. Her paws carried her south towards the unknown territory, where fabled wolves and forgotten creatures hid. Bluestream remembered his smile, his playful grin, the times when the stars sparkled a little brighter, and her world was him and her. When he promised her that nobody would ever hurt her. She recalled the darkest moments of his life when he had no connections, no friends, no family, no life. How he would cry when he thought nobody was looking, and she was there, unbeknown to him. Bluestream remembered when he came for her when she was going to give up and when the clouds emptied their tears upon the StarClan-forsaken land. When he told her he loved her that night of that fateful day, and they cried their own tears of joy and sorrow. She remembered the day he died. The day her joy ended. The day when the world stopped spinning and when she was hit by that one fateful blow at last. She thought she had experienced what despair had felt like when she was catnapped, but boy she was wrong. So very wrong. Darkness crashed over Bluestream like a dark foreboding wave, swallowing all her hope and love and joy. She knew every cat would leave one day, but she would never have expected it to be like this when Redfury left. Sometimes on the days that her kits would talk to her, on the days where a flicker of hope would rise, she half-expected him to be there when she turned around, and see his handsome face, grinning away, telling her never to give up, telling her he was still there for her, and everything was going to be OK. Sometimes she wondered if she was mad, and should just jump off a cliff and get it over and done with. But she kept walking into the forbidden forest of darkness, memories and dreams of everything that could have been haunting her. Consuming her. Tearing her world apart. She kept walking with those paws who betrayed her and collapsed. She gave up. Her life was not worth it anymore.
