I'm hosting a MAP! Please read all the instructions before commenting. About this song: The lyrics come from Hillary Clinton's speech that she gave after this year's presidential election. She wanted to remind girls everywhere that they "are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world". The speech inspired 13-year-old girl Isolde Fair to write this song to empower girls. I thought it would be great to make a MAP to continue the chain of inspiration and spread this message throughout Scratch. To show you read this, include in your comment the name of one woman that inspires you. Rules: 1. If you want to join, leave a comment requesting a part. 2. If the part is available, I'll reply to your comment. 3. Then, remix this project to animate your part. 4. Feel free to get creative, and take inspiration from the song lyrics and powerful women. 5. Parts are due April 20th. 6. You can request more than one part, but I'll start with one part per person and maybe go to two depending on interest. Let me know if you have any questions. :) I'm so excited to see what you come up with!
Hope you like it! <33 Please credit @oceanatic and not @OceanArt ^u^ This is such a wonderful MAP, can't wait to see the finished version! What do the signs in the peaceful protest mean? "Close the gender wage gap!" This refers to the fact that in the United States, for every $1 a man makes, a woman typically makes around 78 cents. This sign is calling for efforts to close that gap. "Love is love" This sign, along with the rainbow below it, is calling for more LGBTQ+ acceptance and support in communities. Lots of bisexual, lesbian, gay, and asexual people feel as though it isn't safe for them to love the people they do, so support for the LGBTQ+ community and education that being LGBTQ+ isn't a choice is super important! "Shatter glass ceilings" Hillary Clinton had a quote, after she lost the election to Obama. She had received 18 million votes. "Even though we weren't able to shatter that highest, hardest glass ceiling yet," she said, "thanks to you, it's got about 18 million cracks in it." The glass ceiling represents having a female president, and every crack in the glass is a voter <33 Hope you enjoy!
