It was after school and Ella was walking with her friends to the elementary school near their middle school. They were talking about something random as always. They passed by Sophie’s mom’s car and she went inside saying bye to us. Chloé was the only one still walking with Ella now, but that didn’t last long because they arrived at the school and she went in her dad’s car. Ella went over to the benches at the front of the school. Her mom’s friends came by and waved to her. Ella smiled and waved back. After about five more minutes of sitting there her mom came up in their car and picked up Ella. When they got home she went and sat on the couch and did her homework. “And that’s fifty-three… plus…” Suddenly a shout interrupted her thoughts. “Hey Ella! Can you take out the garbage?” Her dad yelled. “Uggghhhhh, fine!” She said, doing as she was told. She left open the door and went to grab the recycle bin from under the sink. “Please don’t leave the door open! It’s letting in cold air!” He stated. “Okay, I’m just about to go out and put this away!” She responded. “No, can you close that door now?!” He said starting to get angry and again Ella said, “I’m just picking up the garbage, then I’ll close it. It’ll only take a second or two.” Her dad suddenly got up and slammed the door himself. “You should have done that yourself!” He yelled. “I’m sorry I was just getting up,” Ella said. “I don’t care what you were going to do you should have done it the first time I asked without excuse!” He walked back over to the computer chair and sat down again. Ella finished doing the garbage and ran into her room. “Sage! Transform me!” She whispered, upset. After she changed she ran out her window, to escape. “I’m tired of being yelled at for my mistakes!” She shouted out-loud, running on top of roof-tops. She leaped on top of another with a mighty whip of her wings. Buildings flashed by the edge of her vision. Usually watching how fast she could go excited her, but Lady Chouette don’t care one bit
