If you have any questions or notice a programming error, please comment down below and I'll be happy to see to it! Feel free to use any code or remix! Enjoy! ~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! There is also a step-by-step walk-through at the bottom of Notes and Credits, but try not to use it unless you're absolutely stuck! ~~~~~~~~~~ *-INSTRUCTIONS-* STORY: The quick intro explains the story, but basically, you're just trying to get out of this magical forest via a floating bridge of rocks that you can only get to by crossing a stream that contains a creature that will eat you. GETTING AROUND: Use arrows on the sides, top, and bottom of screen to move to different areas. Not all arrows will be available at once. ITEMS: -The wooden thing in the bottom right is your inventory. This is where you store items that you pick up. -To pick up an item, just click it. -Once an item is in your inventory, you can use it by clicking it (which will then be indicated by a shadow appearing under it; this means you're "using" that item") and then clicking where you want to use it. -Make sure your clicking is precise. -To stop "using" and item, just click it again (which will be indicated by the shadow disappearing). HINTS: -If you need a hint, click the cat sitting by the stream.
Music is "The Forgotten Forest" by Brandon Fiechter. All other sound effects are from http://soundbible.com/ which is a WONDERFUL place to find SFX. The art, coding, and storyline are by me, @kimi68. ~~~~~~~~~~ +*WALK-THROUGH*+ NOTICE: DO NOT READ THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE ALREADY READ ALL THE CAT'S CLUES AND ARE 300% STUCK! > 1. Take the pickaxe off the shed. 2. Use the pickaxe on the large yellow gemstone next to the waterfall. 3. Pick up the key that fell from the broken gemstone. 4. Use the key to unlock the shed. 5. Click the flowerpot to push it off the shelf. 6. Pick up the paper under the flowerpot. 7. Use the pickaxe to remove the green webs. 8. Pick up the bottle. 9. Fill the bottle with water from the waterfall. 10. Use the bottled water on the paper. 11. The word at the top of the paper is "inverse" backwards, so the paper needs to be solved from bottom to top. 12. "How many pieces hold the barrier fast?" The answer is 2 because the lock on the chest is held by 2 nails. 13. "If all were whole, the shining total." The answer is 7 because there were 7 separate crystals around the waterfall before you cracked one open. 14. "Pointing the way, stone engraved." The answer is 4 because that's how many directions (North, South, East, West) are marked on the compass stone outside the shed. 15. "How many times does the truthgiver live?" The answer is 9 because the cat gives you hints and cats have 9 lives. 16. Enter the digits into the chest (2, 7, 4, 9). 17. Take the bottle from the chest. The words at the top of the paper (which you can't pick up) are "sleeping draught recipe" backwards. 18. Pour the purple bottle into the river. This puts the water creature to sleep. 19. Cross the river by clicking the arrow right above the floating rock bridge.
