He tends to warn Xander from dangerous social situations. Like Xander, Cyrus is also very ambitious, and that is why his level is so high; they constantly train and research. He believes that everyone is nice until they aren't nice. This often leads to people being able to trick him easily. He does forgive people relatively easily but doesn't forget. He often experiences jealousy but values other people's happiness over his own, so he rarely acts on it. He is very ambitious and hopes to be the very best he can. The only time he isn't very ambitious is when it comes to romance, usually making subtle hints to what he feels. Xander, because of his need to always be better, often forgets to sleep and eat. Xander believes that it is ideal to only have one Pokemon because you can focus on that singular Pokemon more. Xander also believes that power does not just come from strength. The Pokemon and the trainer should be in sync, and BACKSTORY: Xander was born in the Kalos region. His idol is Professor Sycomore and hopes to be like him someday. When he was young, he liked to explore the wilderness around his house, making observations about how certain items react with Pokemon. And, that is how he met Cyrus. Over time, Xander bonded with the young Pokemon, and when the ten-year-old Xander decided to start traveling Kalos, he decided to travel with Cyrus, instead of getting a starter from Professor Sycomore. The only downside to this is Xander has yet to meet his idol. Xander and Cyrus were not traveling to catch more Pokemon or complete all of the gyms; they were studying how certain items react to Pokemon. They have collected all of the gym badges in Kalos, but they are not going to challenge the Elite Four because Xander has no desire to become champion. That's why they decided to enter the Battle Frontier, to become stronger, and to study items.
