This here's my fallout(4) OC, his name is Kes Irish<3 (Kes was in the Brotherhood of Steel) Kes was sent on a recon mission to the Commonwealth back when Elder Lyons was in charge (much like Danse) and went out to the edge of the glowing sea with anti-rad drugs to go retrieve valuable tech, believing the radaway etc. would be enough. When nausea and other... discomforting symptoms began showing, he set up a distress beacon(pulser?) and his team managed to get to him before the worst parts began. You see, during ghoulification you have about a 75% chance of dying, and a 60% chance of going feral. So basically you're teetering on a razors edge between feral ghoul and ghoul, I imagine you wouldn't be in your right mind, and that it would be a violent and horrible process. All that is after your skin starts sloughing off, btw.. so these are later symptoms.(they found him a good bit past the first symptoms.) During the process his Paladin went to try and comfort him or aid him, whatever(whatchu thinkin?? this man thrashing around?? no common sense..) and he bit her arm. So he was kicked out of the BOS for 1.being a ghoul, and 2. attacking a higher ranking officer. He ended up settling down in Goodneighbor as a mercenary. He's a sniper, but will resort to combat knives or dual revolver pistols in close-combat. His nickname, "Redtail" was what his fellow BOS members tended to call him. He also has a huge fear of radiation, manly bc radiation can make non-feral ghouls turn.(over time) and large sudden amounts of rads have made him have feral-like episodes before. (like being shot with a gamma-gun, etc.) He's doesn't discriminate against other ghouls, but he hates himself for his ghoulishness, so he tends to hide it with road goggles, a black surgical mask, gloves, and a dark scarf thing. His outfit is kinda similar to Macready's.
