Click the Turtle in the middle of his shell. Having released the mouse button, move the mouse around the circle (the Turtle will follow). If we divide the distance the Turtle moves around the Circumference of the Circle by its Diameter 200, we approximate Pi. Theory: Circumference of a circle = Pi x Diameter. Note that estimates from 2.9 to 3.4 are accurate within 8% of Pi.
Everyone can thank @PinkyPepper for the wonderful Turtle from her project "Spiral Walk" https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/86634161/ Otherwise I might have used a Minion! Thank-you to the Turtle for wearing a pedometer so that we can measure the distance it travels and hence calculate Pi. No Turtles were harmed during the making of this project.
