BUT THREE so, i hope they are accepted? wow what a weird method of three bios space to see the other/next cat(s) reddish - smo'kiku golden - helios blue-ish - viola viola's backstory: well, she was born to a fire elemental and a water elemental who fought a lot, so she decided to try and go to the kingdom's school as an escape from her parent's fighting. her intelligence helped score her a spot. there she met helios, and they became friends, though sometimes he has to copy off her homework. helios's backstory: he was born to a middle-class family. helios had a normal life, until one day, everything changed. his father was hauled off to the arena for committing crimes against the kingdom. no one in helios's family knew about what his father did except his father. helios began to work harder and try and get into the schooling program, which he did, to try and prove that everything could still be normal. smo'kiku backstory: his mother, a forgotten, died shortly after he was born. his father gave him his name to honor his mother, who was named kiku. his father was killed early on, and he lived as a thief after that, taking what he needed. one of his more recent thefts was the theft of his dragonblood armlet, made by polyana, so that his powers would be increased. but soon after this theft, he was caught stealing bread, and was sent to the arena to be a combatant. during his time waiting for his first opponent, he discovered his aptitude with amphibians, or, specifically, snakes. he can talk to them and influence their decisions, though if he wasn't a dragonblood, perhaps he would be able to completely control them. this lack of complete control caused the first snake he summoned to bite him in the eye, which is still bandadged to this day. he tries to make up for his lack of speed with serpent-age. smo'kiku does have a particularly strong bond with the serpent he first summoned, now nicknamed smok. smok usually obeys him, though ignores him when it comes to matters like if he needs to hide. the snake usually rides around on smo'kiku's leg. rp example: Helios bounded up to Viola, tail-lightning crackling. "Hey, Vi! guess what!" Viola rolled her eyes, mist tail dispersing, then coming back together. "Did you put a storm in Sel's bed chamber again?" Helios snorted. "Nope. But good idea. My teacher assigned me battle studies! So want to go to the arena?" Viola shuddered. She didn't like watching the violence of the arena. Not because she was squeamish, because it reminded her of her parents' fights. "Alright." Helios grinned at her, the lightning on his tail crackling excitedly. "Cool!" Viola followed behind Helios until they reached the arena. He had picked a high seat, with a good view. Not many cats had arrived yet. The warmth of the sun had gently heated the seats. Helios looked around, after intently out at the center of the arena for a few seconds. He blushed a little when he looked at Viola, her profile's beauty accented by the sunlight. Yells rang out, and he turned his attention to the stadium again. Two competitors had entered the arena. One appeared to be a skittish water elemental with a face pockmarked by scars. The other was a dragonblood with a bandage on his head, and a snake curled around his leg. Viola was intrigued by one fact in particular: the competitor appeared to be wearing an armlet. Weren't those things banned in the arena or something? She became more curious as the battle progressed, as he wasn't using his dragon form, which could probably easily take out his opponent. The finishing blow didn't come from him, but from the snake coiled around his leg, which lashed out, sinking its teeth into the water elemental's throat. The water-cat let out one last groan, then sank to the ground, lifeless. Viola shuddered. She had always hated the arena, but Helios clearly hadn't wanted to sit alone. extra information: - helios has a somewhat crush on viola? - viola wants to break all of the arena combatants out, but she's too law-abiding - smo'kiku is blind in one eye in his dragon form, and he is also kind of bad at controlling it - since he stole the armlet before polyana's trinket store made its debut, she made extras to make up for it, explaining how there are still 5 in stock. - when smo'kiku goes into dragonblood form, he's actually not completely blue. his eyes are blue and his wings are gold. also, in dragonblood form, smok the snake becomes huge.
