One day, while the fish was in its cave, a shark destroyed it and chased him to the seaweed fields! Use the mouse to stay away from the shark as long as possible. Would you like to see any of my previous versions, or at least hear about them? I will temporarily share one if requested, and a changelog of V2 updates are in Notes and Credits. (For space, V1 is not cataloged, but that can be requested as well.) After the cutscene, the fish will follow the mouse. Stay away from the shark. You have four lives to stay alive for a random amount of time, from one minute to five minutes. Don't like the music? Press SPACE for a different song. Press it over and over again to cycle through the nine available songs. Finally, if a song ends, it will not re-start. You must press SPACE again. There is a secret keypress order that will show you the secret to success in this game! (As of V2.7, it is visible in-game at any time. You just have to look closely, no matter what build... and it is best visible in fullscreen.)
UPDATE (August 8, 2018): V2.8 and The Shark and Fish Game 2 are officially put on indefinite hiatus for several reasons. The main reason is that I'm I pursuing other opportunities and trying to make a decent platformer game. I am also running into several technical difficulties trying to create a new engine for the gameplay. The future of V2.8 and TSAFG2 depends on whether I overcome these difficulties, so keep this in mind when commenting on how much you want them (although few people actually know this game exists...) Read on if you want the ACTUAL Notes and Credits. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am accepting suggestions for future versions. V1 Versions are archived but not shared. If you'd like to see one, ask me in the comments. Also, for space, V1 updates are no longer recorded here. You must ask me. V2.0 Many miscellaneous changes, most notable of which include a title card, new songs and a random scoring system. V2.1 A few technical updates and, as obvious, the use of your username at the end of the credits. (If you're not signed in, don't worry, nothing weird will happen.) V2.2 Some significant performance updates and the secret code! (The keypress is hidden somewhere in-game, so you don't have to look inside the code!) Shout-out to for several ideas for this version! V2.3 Aimed towards making the song system better, this update decreases the chance of the same song playing twice in succession, and now, if you are caught by the shark, the previously played song is re-started. V2.4 Introduces more fitting music for the end credits (hence the addition of Steve Burke to the music credit) V2.5 Now includes a ninth "chase" song and provides the option of re-starting the game after a game over or the credits. Eradicates chance of a song playing twice in succession by having a press of SPACE go to the next song, instead of a random new one. Finally, introduces a new form of updating the game- saving a copy of the previous update, then changing the existing previous version for the new. (This is actually V1.0 changed for V2.5.) V2.6 Adds a new song. A warning, song (the new one) is very intimidating and scary. :3 V2.6.1 One new song? A new version must have more than that. ANOTHER NEW SONG!!! Also fixes a bug where songs 10 and 11 cannot play when the game starts. V2.7 Change to the Fish's appearance and EXTREMELY minor changes to the Shark's costume and easter egg (refer to V1 updates). Finally, the "Secret to Success" key-press hidden somewhere in-game is just a little bit more obvious. V2.8 Future work-in-progress update, with complete makeover of coding and scripts and not as many songs but better performance overall. New features include song playback interactivity (beyond that of changing between them) and skipping the intro. (Credit and a shoutout to for that idea!) Music credit goes to Great Kirkhope (Well, it's actually Grant Kirkhope, but he's great!) and Steve Burke.
