Griffe Noire and Lady Chouette stared and the road stretched out before them. “I guess we’re now chickens,” He said, again making a stupid pun. “How do you have so much chill?!” Lady Chouette asked, getting a bit angry. “Cats have their secrets too, don’t they?” He said slyly, wrapping his tail around her. “Just stop, okay?” “You know I can’t stop puns from slipping from my mouth.” “No, I can handle jokes, it’s you flirting with me every second you get!” Lady Chouette said, pushing his belt-tail away from her. Clearly hurt, Griffe Noire turned his face back to the road, pondering his thoughts. Trying to ignore that conversation, he said, “We should start on your journey.” She nodded. “Though how are we supposed to get-” She was cut off by a high-pitched shriek. Not of fear, but of something else. Suddenly a… thing wearing a black cloak and riding an also black horse charged forward at them. “Run!” He yelled. Not looking to where Griffe Noire was going, Lady Chouette sprinted toward a field full of cows. On the fence it said, “Free cows.” She tried to open up her wings and fly, but then she realized that Mythique must have taken their main powers away for this. The black being chased full speed at her. The repeated thunder of hooves crashing on the ground motivated her. Without thinking she leaped onto the back of a black cow and jabbed its side, probably bruising it. It made a deep pain-filled noise, then charged forward. “Come on, you can do this! Our lives depend on it!” Lady Chouette whispered in it’s ear, hoping it would help. The cow, she observed, used it’s back-legs to push itself forward with a mighty thrust. They skimmed across the open, grassy, hills.
