Left is Day Side, right is Night Side. ----- EXPLANATION Night Side: The Night Side is typically the "Ordered chaos" place. It's riddled with crime, so the Royals built strong, protective buildings to protect the people. It has kept an orderly feel, with outside towns to house soldiers or supplies in case of a war. The Night Side has also built a strong protective wall on their side of the land, to stop any intruders. Flanking the castle is a dense forest, where the Night Side gets the majority of their food. Still, though, the building of all these protective things has them lacking in farms. Day Side: The Day Side has a more laid-back feel. Instead of having an outside city, they have multiple farms that help feed the people. While the Night Side's main worry is protection, the Day Side's is mostly food and comfort. Built on a beach, the Day Castle sort of goes into the water a little (like the castle in The Little Mermaid). The Day Side also has a sea port. What the Day Side lacks is protection, but is plentiful in food. ------------------- REASON FOR FIGHTING The Night Side needed farmland to feed their people, so the Royals sent a messenger to the Day Side to ask. The Day Side, having some bad relations with the Night Side, thought that they were trying to steal land to make the Day side weaker. They refused and sent the messenger home. The Night Side was persistent, though, and kept sending messengers. Finally, the Day Side took one of them prisoner. The Night Side caught on, saying how they could keep or even kill the messenger, they wouldn't care, but they would declare an all-out war. The Day Side did release them, but the Night Side broke its promise and launched a warning attack. The Day Side, furious, launched an actual attack against its Night Side enemies. This is what mainly caused the war.
