V1.0) Well, it's really simple; the controls are: *Up arrow for accelerating *Left arrow for drifting left *Right arrow for drifting right *Down arrow for braking *Spacebar for handbrake (not very useful in this game...) *Number keys for different songs The point of this game is to get the fastest time possible. Do you have what it takes? Probably. You're possibly all awesome drivers! V1.1) Here are some benchmarks with difficulty levels next to them to spice up your track day!: Easy: 46.1 seconds. Medium: 40.3 seconds. Hard: 36.0 seconds. Extreme: 20.9 seconds. Good luck! Also, this game is incredibly laggy and I have absolutely no solution to this frustrating problem. Is anyone kind enough to help me with my project? Thanks, MrOmeletteMan. V1.2) Actually, never mind, I sort of fixed the lag prob. Now I'm planning to add something like points you earn on the track. V1.3) Added "Drift Points" and "Drift Multiplier". You earn drift points by casually drifting but to earn a drift multiplier you need to string your drifts together to hold a combo drift. It sound confusing and it sort of is. Hoping to add music next update - possibly 04/18/17. V1.4) MAJOR UPDATE! As well as adding music, I have: *changed the positions of the data blocks (Drift Points, Timer, etc.) *added two new songs, Everything Everything - Suffragette Suffragette and Falcon Funk - Pounce *added new and improved acceleration (thanks Javster!) *a Speedometer is now avaliable! *a starting screen is here! I hope to add new cars or something next update... maybe a main menu? For now though, enjoy as much as you can! V1.5) (notice, not update) Heh... I feel that new cars may be a V1.9 thing... um... for now though, you can actually enjoy REALISTIC physics, for example, if you drive at high speeds and one of your wheels hits the grass, your car will temporarily slow down. Maybe I could make it spin out? V1.55) Recently, dexterftw has given me the awesome idea of local multiplayer (two player) and how I should put it into the game. When I attempted this, my computer could not handle all the coding as there were 13 sprites and about 100 scripts. So, I have to tell you this; There will be no local multiplayer or the secret online multiplayer leader board and I forgot to tell you about. Really, really sorry, MrOmeletteMan P.S. I added a main menu! Sorta... V1.6) Guess what?! hen you start playing, you can actually hear the engine? You might be thinking; "Oh but how, O wise one?" well... I added engine sounds! V1.7) Hehe! I added a FPS Counter so you'll see how laggy the game is! But in all truth, I think this game is officially dead, I wanted people to think this was a masterpiece for someone who just started Scratch, but I ended up adding so much that Scratch couldn't handle this game. For some reason... V1.8) Revived it. Unfortunately, by doing that, the smoke sprite is officially gone forever, so now the game can run at 10 - 20 FPS.
I really do need to give my thanks to shwingie and his project "drift car sim". I used the "drift tracks" sprite in his game but I edited it so it created tracks whenever the player pressed the left or right keys. I also have to thank dexterftw for commenting and following me. That gave me courage and persistence to continue working on the project that I had given up on several times. Thank you to WO997 who let me (well, he didn't actually reply yet so...) use his engine sounds from his "car engine sound" project. You should check it out, It's pretty cool! My final thanks have to go to Javster for letting me use his acceleration scripts. I got inspired by his game and I made a truly picturesque game with next-gen graphics. I am positive that all critics that come over to view this will be deeply impressed. I'm kidding and I'm sorry. My game isn't that good looking... My apologies, MrOmeletteMan.
