You pay as a warrior that also uses math to do consultant work in an slightly anachronistic medieval setting. In this game, you can pick a side to support or be a double agent. Will you help the king boost his popularity with beaches and fences or will you help the returners to mount an insurrection and return ScratchCat the Gray to the throne? The choice is yours. Type - to attack Type + to heal Evasion works like taunt in previous games. It divides the monster's attack. Defense works like Defense did in Math Warrior 3 and like shield in Math Warrior 2. You subtract a random value from the enemy's attack based on your level (min) and your defense (max). Weapons: You have to buy the weapons in order: dagger, sword, axe, spear, goldSword, goldAxe, goldSpear. As you gain experience, you wield your weapons with more efficiency. Weapons determine your maximum attack. Level determines your minimum attack. Armor: For each slot, you can decide if you want to go for evasion or defense. Choose carefully, because you can't change your mind later. Evasion is more powerful, but is less reliable. *** SPOILERS **** ... ... ... ... ... ... Protip: Do the Cheezburger quest and buy the dagger first. The Pointy Stick is a useless weapon. If you are stuck on the stats question: Look at page 13 https://www.unc.edu/~rls/s151-2010/class23.pdf *********************************************************** Drain the swamp First you get $100 to buy the pump from the pump salesmen in Hamburg. Write down the gallons pumped per hour. Then talk to the returner to get the amount of gallons per acre. Then calculate the number of years. You have to account for leap years so its 365.25 days in a year. 27 acres x Gallons of swamp water per acre / Gallons pumped per hour / 24 hours / 365.25 days in a year Then go to the swamp and press space and enter the number of years. ************************************************************* If you are stuck on the python fence quest, consider diagonals. You want the fence to be the shortest distance that will contain the entire forest.
What sets this game apart from previous Math Warrior games is the the addition of math problem quests. Overworld enemies and yellow path inspired by Zelda II on NES Battle background inspired by EarthBound on SNES Returners is a reference to Final Fantasy VI (FFIII on SNES in NA) The map is made by stamping the sprites on the background and references a list to determine which sprite to stamp. The battle background is created the same way, but uses graphic effects. Most graphics drawn in Scratch by me. Graphics inspired by NES games like Zelda II, Dragon Warrior, and Final Fantasy. Most animals were from the Scratch library. Python image by D Coetzee https://www.flickr.com/photos/dcoetzee/4788740721 Satire elements inspired by Monty Python, Donald Trump, invasive species in Florida, and the rabbit fence in Australia. No political bias is intended. Music from Scratch Library music loops.
