The title says it all. I love the military, and the soldiers, because they all are facing death to keep us safe. Each mission holds the uncertainty of death, and injury. And their wives, and girlfriends, brothers and sisters, boyfriends and husbands, mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, are left, each day, without knowing whether their husband, boyfriend, wife, girlfriend, son, daughter, sister, brother, father or mother is alive, or going to stay that way. If the politicians in every country could stop making wars, this would not be so. But there can never be total peace on earth. So thank you to our Airmen, Sergeants, Officers, and every soldier. God bless our military, and the brave souls that fight for us. For we could not be the "land of the free" if we were not the "home of the brave".
Some of these pictures have mere teenagers in them, and we are the Civil Air Patrol, feel free to ask about us! More coming! Song: Taps Taps Lyrics: Day is done, gone the sun, From the lake, from the hills, from the sky; All is well, safely rest, God is nigh. Fading light, dims the sight, And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright. From afar, drawing nigh, falls the night. Thanks and praise, for our days, 'Neath the sun, 'neath the stars, neath the sky; As we go, this we know, God is nigh. Sun has set, shadows come, Time has fled, Scouts must go to their beds Always true to the promise that they made. While the light fades from sight, And the stars gleaming rays softly send, To thy hands we our souls, Lord, commend.
