To attack in melee, use arrow keys to move toward an enemy. A ranged attack requires arrows in the quiver. Press f and then an arrow key. The g key is used to pick up items. Picking up a sword will result in dropping the sword currently held. To go up or down stairs, press ">" (greater than sign; Shift + "." on most keyboards). Press p to pause. Dwarves are better at melee and Elves are better at ranged fighting. The goal is to get as high a score as possible by going deeper and getting more kills. The Display: DL = Dungeon Level, increased by going down stairs. Infinite. CL = Character Level, increased by getting kills. Maximum 25. HP = Hit Points (Health). Based on Character Level and Race. Quiver = how many arrows. Unlimited capacity.
