OBJECTIVE: Be attentive and take good care of your rescue dog, or else they'll be returned to the shelter. ///INSTRUCTIONS: *Please read for your own good* ________________________________________ How do the METERS work? ________________________________________ - The meters let you know how your dog is doing and what aspects you should pay most attention to ··· The Hunger, Thirst and Boredom meters must not reach 10, or else the game will be over. They begin at 0 and every 10 seconds they will increase by 1. ··· The Energy, Health and Hygiene meters must not reach 0, or else the game will be over. They begin at 10 and every 10 seconds they will decrease by 1. _________________________________________________ How do I bring the meters back to their original value? _________________________________________________ ··· Hunger: click the food bowl to make the dog eat ··· Thirst: click the water bowl to make the dog drink ··· Boredom: click the ball to make the dog play and have fun ··· Energy: click the bed to make the dog sleep and restore their energy ··· Health: click the medicine pot to restore the dog's health ··· Hygiene: click the bath to clean the dog *** Be careful: some actions have both a positive and negative effect! For example, playing ball decreases the dog's boredom, but also decreases his hygiene and energy, and increases his hunger and thirst. It's up to you to keep the meters b a l a n c e d. - Eating and drinking make the dog poop and pee. Make sure to clean up after the dog or his health levels will go down from living in a dirty environment. Note that the game never ends, so it's up to you to decide when to stop playing. Just make sure that while you do play, you take good care of your dog.

CREDITS: I made this game mostly on my own, except for some help from my tutor and the Scratch tutorials. Some of the sprites and all the backgrounds come from the Scratch library, and others are pictures from online. I had initially started this project when I first joined Scratch, but encountered several issues along the way that I couldn't fix, so I needed up dropping and picking it up repeatedly. I finally completed it enough to share it, even though it's a bit of work-in-progress. :) COMMENTS: Use the comments section respectfully please! You can share funny stories, give feedback, ask questions, report glitches and let me know of any suggestions you may have. I always appreciate them even if I don't follow through. POSSIBLE UPDATES: I will eventually add more dogs and different "home" locations to choose from.
