▷ Curated on 8 July 2018 For the fifth year running, here's a Potter-related Christmas project to feast on this festive season! After the first in 2013, I could not have imagined these projects would become the sort of tradition it has. Harry's stay at Grimmauld Place in the winter of 1995 is the focus of this year's release. As a challenge to myself, every single artwork contained here was designed by me using just the program editor. The project contains information of some key events that took place during Christmas in Harry's 5th year, as well as a game and a complete family tree of The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black. Each of these parts can be navigated to by entering various rooms in Number 12 Grimmauld Place. They consist of the main hallway, tapestry room, kitchen basement and upper floors. The house interior was loosely based on the movie design of Sirius Black's ancestral home, with some elements taken from my own imagining of its appearance. All this was done using vector graphics. Harry isolating himself and hiding in Buckbeak's room (upon learning that he might be possessed by Voldemort) was the inspiration for the game. I would very much have liked to see that scene in the fifth film. Two movie scores from the first and fourth films are featured in the introduction and game respectively. The former is "Christmas at Hogwarts", while the latter music is the breathtaking "Harry in Winter". The song that plays over the rest of the project is "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" by Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls. It is a greatly underrated rocker and is a perfect match for this project's subject. TRIVIA QUESTION: This one is for the super fans... What is the significance of the font used in the opening sentence of this project, with regard to the fifth Harry Potter book (Scholastic edition)?
