Unfortunately, I have stopped developing this game. Looking to play another .io game? Check out Tank.io: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/383870359/ Instructions: Click "GO!" to start. control your cartoonish styled vacuum cleaner robot with the arrow keys. Collect the multicolored beads, and find power-ups to help you. Try to beat the world record score! Have fun! {{{---PLEASE NOTE---}}}: When you are finished playing, please press the yellow 'back button' at the top left corner of the screen before pressing the red stop sign, instead of just pressing the red stop sign while you are still playing! This is because if you don't press the back button it will not save your world score if you change it, as well as for more reasons. Also, if you are not signed in or if you are not a "scratcher" ( if you don't know what a scratcher is, go to https://en.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/Scratcher ) yet, you cannot change the record score even if you beat it or see the player count and leaderboard. Also note: sometimes you may find yourself in a situation where your character keeps moving in one direction non-stop even when you press other buttons. This is not a problem with the game itself, just slow connection, as well as some lag due to the amount of beads on the screen.
VACUUM.IO v1.3 With multiplayer coming, their may be a few bugs in the game. Please notify me of them and I will try to fix them! The highscore record holder name in the variable might look weird (spaces in between each letter, missing punctuation, etc.) but it is being worked on! Game/Update log: 2017 April 15: Game has been created. April 29: Prototype version published. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2018 May 4: Update 1! -Added bots that move around and suck up beads -Improved the bead cloning, so that you don't run out of beads on the screen -fixed a bug where sometimes almost no (if any) beads would appear when starting a game -the game now displays a world record score and the user who achieved this score. (this feature may be buggy, but you can "refresh" it by clicking the green flag again or clicking the refresh button) May 6: Added the magnet, the first power-up in a series of many to come. Play the game to find out what it does! May 20: Added admin commands, so administrators for this game can see more game stats and restart the game if their are any problems(only one admin at the moment, which is me). This is mostly so that if I am tweaking with cloud variables while people are playing, I can restart the game so nothing glitches out. May 29: Added some more admin commands. August 15: New graphics Update! This update improves the graphics of vacuum.io, making it look less boring, as well as tweaking a few things. Changes include: -Vacuums now have tank treads, making them look like tanks, as well as a few minor changes -Vacuums leave stains behind from their treads(some improvement needed) -Magnet power-up now vibrates when activated -beads now slowly pulse (may be disabled due to lag) -UI changes -Masses of beads no longer appear upon playing, as amount of beads would cause game to slow down (but don't worry, you won't run out of beads) November 19 (currently being worked on): Leaderboards update! This update adds a leaderboard which is displayed while playing so players can see the top 5 best online players, as well as a few other things. Changes include: -Added a real-time(kind of) leaderboard -Added the clearer power-up, the second power-up in the game. As the name suggests, it brings all the beads on your screen to your vacuum. -Multiplayer feature that was planned has now been canceled and most of the code for it has been cut apart(but not removed). As a result of the former change, their is currently no player limit and the player limit message will no longer be displayed - Bot vacuums removed Sneak peaks: Working on more features to make the game less boring (such as enemies, power-ups, challenges, etc.), new and improved graphics, and working on a live leaderboard.
