BACKGROUND ~ I became interested in cooking when my aunt and I made turkey soup at Thanksgiving. She showed me how to use the rest of the turkey, rice, and vegetables to make a fabulous turkey jook. I find cooking interesting because I can find a bunch of different ingredients and create something completely different and tasty. I like to cut up the vegetables, mix items together, and see the reactions of different ingredients. I feel so relaxed and happy when I am cooking. It makes me feel peaceful. I learn how to cook different things by finding recipes on the internet. I watch videos on how to prepare different dishes. My mom and I cook dishes many times before we can master a certain dish. I learn by doing it over and over again. I learn from my previous mistakes. CITATIONS ~ Abarca, Justin, and Erin La Rosa. "60 Food Facts That Will Blow Your Mind." BuzzFeed. N.p., 19 Mar. 2014.
