This project does nothing, really. Just a new icon for Zin. So, @Zinnie2002 was over at my house on Friday, and we decided to do a challenge - drawing each other's OC's in each other's respective styles! For me, this meant I had to use the dreaded vector editor. And, I have to say, I kinda like the end result. You'll notice I couldn't get Sunshine's head as dome-shaped as it usually is, but at that point I just gave up on the head and kept messing with the ears, which turned into a monstrosity. But I kind of like the eyes. Zinnie's eye style is very distinct and anime-esque without being your typical 'three-big-circles' type of anime eye. And the nose was fun because I barely needed to reshape it. xD You may also notice that I carried my own mouth style over to this - well, Zin usually draws cat's mouths exactly how they look, a kind of small 'w' shape. For me, I want to draw a character and know exactly how they're feeling just by how I draw them. (i.e. , if they're sad, the ears must be pointing down, the eyes 'drooping', if they're happy, ears pointing up, broad smile, etc.) To achieve this, I gave Sunshine a big ol' cartoony smile, and her ears are pointing up. Finally, I didn't give Sunshine eyebrows because ... Zinnie doesn't draw Sunshine with eyebrows. xD If you've kept up with my art dumps, you know that characters not having eyebrows annoys me, because I draw large, expressive, cartoony eyebrows to show what the character is feeling. Zinnie's doesn't annoy me, though, as the large, expressive, cartoony eyes make up for the lack of eyebrows. xD
This is @Zinnie2002 's character Sunshine! Credit to her for an amazing OC, and for being my IRL best friend! :D Thank you again for coming over! I had a great time. Can't wait to see her end of the trade - she's drawing Melody in vector AND bitmap! :D Oh, and this is a quick apology for not being very active this month. Honestly, guys, I thought I'd have more time. I may have more time next week as that is when my birthday is, and my Mom has a super-long conference that week, so my Dad's staying home for three days. We still don't know what we're doing then, but I can guarantee I'll be on Scratch some. I'm working on a lot of writing, too, some for Scratch and a lot not for Scratch. Out of Nothing is currently on it's fourth draft or so, and my Mom is nearly done editing, so I might be busy re-editing that week if anything at all, but I doubt it. Love you guys! Thank you for nearly 180 followers! :)
