You are looking through a microscope at single cell organisms. They follow your mouse pointer. As they move they lose energy and have to feed. They are simple creatures and the idea is to make the coloured one last as long as possible. It's like observing life :) Sit back and watch, like a fish tank! Takes many minutes. May need turbo mode <USAGE> [A] Automatic mode / mouse mode toggle [H] gives more health to all (healthier population) [P] takes health away from all (poorer population) [F] gives them random food when not in Auto mode [MOUSE CLICK] gives them food where the mouse as long as nothing is there (when not in Auto mode) Younger cells are smaller, older cells are larger. healthier cells move faster and are brighter A healthy cell, that is middle aged, can give birth providing there is space for it. Old cells and very poorly cells die They sleep and use less energy when in a group but can get trapped by their neighbours and not be able to get to the food in time. When hungry they go to the nearest bit of food. Each cell follows exactly the same set of rules, the only differences are they start with slightly different health ratings and ages. Their health affects their feeding rate. They either target food or the mouse pointer. They can move in 8 different directions but only move when they have 6 or less neighbours.
Code and graphics are by me. Sounds provided by Scratch. Still working on it....
