Welcome to my project - Rhythmic. Now, first things first, here's how to play: // Instructions // - The Rhythm Room - The Rhythm Room is basically a sandbox mode. It allows you to play in a 2-player style. The arrow keys create 'Hitsquares', and the WASD keys are used to hit the squares when they reach the 'Beatsquare' in the bottom-left corner. You have five lives, which you can lose by missing squares, and you gain points based on accuracy. - The Game Room - The Game Room is where you play to try and get the most points on a preset song (there's currently only one song for experimental purposes, called "Simple, But Effective") The controls: WASD keys to hit the Hitsquares when the reach the blue 'Beatbox'. - Double Dutch Coming Soon! (AHAHAHA "soon" HAHAHA) - // Background Info // Alright, so this is an entry in @123768631 's 1000 followers competition. In the competition, @123768631 challenged people to use some of his own custom blocks to create a 100% pen project. I had always wanted to try making a rhythm game on scratch, so I chose to take this opportunity to give it a try. And this was what I came up with. So, that means that (lots and lots of) credit goes to @123768631 for his custom blocks, particularly his text, line-drawing, square-drawing and square-to-square testing blocks. Thank you @123768631! Everything else is created entirely by me. Well, the sounds are from Scratch's library, so thanks to Scratch too! I hope you enjoy the project! Feel free to comment with any suggestions or problems!
