Play as Cusi and ride your llama Misti! Race against the clock (you have 24 seconds) to get to the Hidden Valley and make sure you don't run out of HP! Jump: Spacebar Right: Right Arrow Left: Left Arrow Good luck!
I made this project as a school project for my teacher! :D The Secret of the Andes by: Ann Nolan Clark What inspired the game was the part in the story when Cusi left Cuzco. He left because the family he found at Cuzco was not his true loving family so he goes home (at this time in the story he does not know where home is until he talks to the Keeper of the Fields). That is why in the game you cannot go to Cuzco. In the game you have to dodge rocks because the story takes place in the Andes (a long range of mountains in South America) and if a llama gets hurt by rocks too much it will not be able to carry on. In the story Cuzi realizes that his real home is in the Hidden Valley with Chuto because he talks with the Keeper of the Fields and in the game when you get close to the Keeper of the Fields he tells you that you belong with Chuto. Cusi is riding with one llama Misti because when he left Cuzco he left all of his other llamas behind and Misti is his favorite and most well-trained llama he had. HP or as some people like to call it “health” means hit-points. In this case it means how many times Misti can get hit by a rock. When I started making this project I had not read the book so I did not have the sprites or the rocks but instead I put circles. When I finished reading the story I went back and got sprites, made a background, added some variables, and I was done. I did this project on Scratch because I love coding and I love platformer games.
