This is a book by me, @MintyTail (My BFF), and another friend of ours (also my BFF) who is not on Scratch.
Prologue Pip continuously tapped her foot to her favorite old-school song “Lollipop”. She turned the old-fashioned radio up, Pip found this radio in her father’s section of the big dusty attic upstairs. She thought it was a neat antique and attempted to fix it, sometimes there were blurry sounds in the middle of a song because the radio stations were too powerful for the tiny thing, but Pip was proud of the fixing. A few months ago her father went off to the military, at this she’s been mourning over feeling alone. Once Pip found the radio, she knew it could spark joy. She had a strong bond with music and loved a large variety of songs; old-school pop to soft rock. Pip was considering Band, but the instruments she wanted to play weren’t offered as an option, and she could already play piano and ukulele. School would start in a week, and she already missed attending her summer camp. Pip would go to middle school next year, and she was afraid that the kids there would make fun of her because of her size. However, her mother assured that there weren’t any bullies, just like last year. Pip heard her mother’s car pull into the driveway. Her mother promised to go shopping for school clothing. At this she groaned inside her head, the worst thing about shopping is that her mother doesn’t like a single thing Pip likes. She opened the back door, “Hey...how was work?” Pip asked. “I’ve got one heck of a headache, we’ll go clothes shopping tomorrow.” Her mother said back. “You take a nap, I’m gonna go for a walk with Aspen.” Aspen was Pip’s friend up the street, she was one grade behind Pip and they wouldn’t spend much time together since she was going to be in middle school. “Yeah, go do that…” Her mother sounded light-headed and tired. Pip pulled on her boots and headed out the door. She started to walk towards Aspen’s house when a she spotted a small chocolate-like smudged kitten that had lonely blue eyes and little white speckles on her face, looking like stars. Pip crouched to the ground and held out her hand for the kitten to sniff. Slowly the young feline approached, it’s gazing eyes looked at Pip’s like it was communicating somehow. The brown mottle placed his tiny paw onto Pip’s finger. Pip felt a strong realization that the little kitten knew everything in her head, whether she liked it or not. “You’re a strange one, aren’t you?” Pip asked to the kitten. He dipped his head and closed the glistening eyes. She pulled out her sketchpad and started drawing a picture accurate to the kitten’s real appearance Pip decided to stay and sit by the feline for a while, she pulled out a plastic bag; at this the kitten turned it’s head, obviously curious. She handed him a vanilla bon-bon, the kitten sniffed the round and dripping treat and took a small bite. “You need a name, although you probably already have one, I’ve got to have something to call you,” She told the kitten as she gently pat his head. He slipped underneath her arm and searched the plastic bag for more bonbons. The way he chewed on the vanilla candy was...graceful, in someway.“Bon-bon that’s perfect,” He leapt into her arms and started a deep purring. Pip held Bon-bon’s warm body to her face and started walking home, towards the blood-orange sunset...
