⋄ C̲U̲L̲T̲U̲R̲E̲S̲ ̲A̲N̲D̲ ̲T̲R̲A̲D̲I̲T̲I̲O̲N̲S̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ All creatures around the continent are known to celebrate a variety of cultures and traditions- some of these are unique to their own race or gender, while others are popular among all Illitricans. Originated from dragons ↴ Dragons are able to create massive palace-like structures on account of their massive sizes and elemental magic. Most dragon houses are built with tall towers open to the sky to allow for easy access from the sky, with hammocks or platforms along the interior of the tower as separate rooms. Dragons are also known for collecting precious jewels and often integrate various rocks and gems into their architecture (not to be confused with the stereotype all dragons collect "hoards"). Dragons have also adopted a very eloquent and graceful fashion sense- usually created with the intent of beauty as well as keeping their limbs loose for easy flight. Shawls are very common, as they can be specially fitted and laced to match a variety of venues. Western dragons are also responsible for creating a unique holiday celebrated in some Las Bonita regions, specifically, Lucaono where it originated- the Spirit's Fest is celebrated during the summer seasons as a tribute to those who have died. The holiday is celebrated over the span of a week, each day dedicated to a different theme to put aside differences and remember those who have left us. Originated from humans ↴ Humans introduced most forms of religion and related holidays to Illitrical. Ancient tribes that first stepped foot on the continent's shores worshiped a Goddess of fire and smoke of no name, using smoke signals as a means of communication, burning sheep and other animals as a sacrifice, and using torches to fuel her light. This God was later named Adara and deemed the Goddess of Courage and Battle. Northern humans also played a part in creating the Kinwarming holiday, a wintertime week-long festival for celebrating family and friends by sharing gifts and stories. ⋄ R̲E̲L̲I̲G̲I̲O̲U̲S̲ ̲D̲E̲I̲T̲I̲E̲S̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ ̲ Most commonly worshiped ↴ Adara → Goddess of Courage and Battle, Adara is said to lend her strength and spontaneity to those lacking. She is known as the representative of humans and nature, as she is a shapeshifter and harnesses the powers of fire. Though it is often viewed as a destructive element, it is viewed by Adara as a reckless, living thing, like all things in nature that must be handled with patience, difficult to tame. Asterius Aiona → God of Season and Life. Asterius is known to be a powerful ice elemental, able to create the harshest of blizzards or the gentlest snowflakes. He is known to be calm and kind, lending his peace of mind to those in need. He is viewed as a representative for dragons, wyverns, and griffins, harnessing elemental powers surpassing the most powerful sorcerers. Nathara → Goddess of Magic and Knowledge, Nathara is known to be a guardian of the earth and time. She lends her intellect and magical abilities to those in need and is said to be the mother of all things supernatural. She is viewed as a teacher and representative for humanoid creatures like merfolk and naga (being one herself).
