SHAPE/BASIC Zusdans [ Zooz-danz ] are serpent-like reptiles closely related to dragons. They have a short, stubby snouts and stumpy, short legs mostly used for climbing, as they "slither" [ slide their belly on the ground as they walk to move faster ] to move around, and can both move on land and/or in water. They have four fins- two in place of its ears that it can move, one on the middle of the back to the torso, and one on its tail. [with exception of some species] COLOR They usually have grayish, flat colors to blend in with their surroundings, but their eyes are a neon color, usually the neon version of its main color. There are varying palettes and colors, but most are green or blue. Rarer colors include purple, red, and brown. Zusdans also have accents of color on the end of their tails and on the 'spines' of the fins. These accents are usually brighter, yellower colors than their main colors. Zusdans in high power will have additional black or white accents, such as spots or stripes, on their faces. GROUPS/CLANS A group of Zusdans is called a Quakkle. Quakkles consist of around 50 or so members- the queen and king, acting power [controls warriors], 10 or so hunters/scavengers, 5 moths [watch children], 2 'sneaks' [spy on other Quakkles and look for more space to move or water ], 5 guards [defend Quakkle], 5 commoners, and 20 or more warriors. There will rarely be an individual Zusdan. TYPES OF ZUSDANS Mountain Zusdans [veryyyy rare] have longer, leaner legs and sharp, thin claws [with thumbs!] to run and climb. Their scales are bumpy and brown or gray to blend in with the terrain. All-Water Zusdans [rare] have a fin that runs all the way down their backs, have webbed, thin claws, and gills. Plain Zusdans [uncommon- one in pic] have larger, thicker front claws, while their back claws are sharp to dig into the ground. Their face fins are smaller than all other types. Forest Zusdans [most common] have longer front legs and sharper claws for climbing trees and vertical surfaces, as well as keener eyesight and sharper reflexes to avoid crashing into anything.
