**Play in Full screen mode - there is a screen update issue that only occurs when not in full screen, if you know why this is let me know ** Welcome to Scratch-Bo, a Scratch implementation of the classic card game Skip-Bo. This game implements all the rules of the 2-player version of the original game to play vs the computer. The object is to be the first to use up the cards in your stock pile first. If you are unfamiliar with Skip-Bo, you can view the rules here: http://service.mattel.com/instruction_sheets/42050.pdf Here is the brief description: Object: Use up all the cards (30) in your stock pile before the computer does. At the start, you will be dealt 5 cards. On your first turn, if you have a 1 or a Scratch-Bo card (wild) in your stock or your hand, you can start a building pile in the play area. You can then continue to play off this building pile (or start a new pile) out of your stock or hand. Building piles must go up from 1 to 12, at which point it becomes an open building pile again. Once you can no longer play (or you decide to stop playing), discard a card from your hand in one of your discard piles. This will start the CPU's turn, who will follow the same rules. On your next turns, you play as before, but you can now use cards from your discard piles as well (you may only play the top card of each discard pile). If you ever use all 5 cards from your hand, you will be dealt a new hand. Once you or the CPU depletes your stock, the game is over (the number of card in your and the CPU's stock are shown in the game area) Have fun! If you discover any issues or bugs, let me know! Features I plan to add in the next version(s): 1. Add 3 levels of difficulty for the CPU (I would say the current version is easy). 2. Add some animation during the CPU's turn.
All code and artwork was created for this project. The game is a Scratch implementation of the Mattel card game, Skip-Bo.
