You are a Ballistae manner who works for a castle in Middle Earth. One day, your lord and all the other guards are sleeping off a hangover from the night before when the Orcs suddenly try to mount an invasion. You must use the left and right arrow keys to aim the ballista and space to fire at the Orcs. Firing spears cost money, each -0.3 Gold. Your lord has left you with 50 gold. If you have run out of gold there is no way to get it back, but you get gold by killing things. There are multiple species of monster you are up against. Orcs: These are small and green and carry swords. They always are killed by all types of spears and give you +2 Gold if you kill them. Goblins: Smaller than Orcs, these monsters have white heads and red bodies but don't carry weapons. They are faster than Orcs and you get +3 if you kill them. They have a 5/10 chance of dying by a regular bolt, but always die when hit by a super-bolt. Ogres: These huge green brutes carry clubs. They give you +4 Gold when you kill them. They have a 1/10 chance of dying by a regular bolt, but a 4/5 chance when hit by a super-bolt. Smaug: The red dragon is a terrifying foe. That being said, if you kill him, you get +30 Gold. But it is nigh on impossible for a regular bolt, with only 1/100 chance of succeeding. But if, however, you use a super-bolt you get a 1/10 chance. The bolts also have different types. Regular bolts are fired by space, and super-bolts are fire by pressing B. However, super-bolts cost -10 Gold and have a five-second reload period. They are much faster and deadlier than regular bolts. The fortifications around your castle have slits which you can fire through, but the solid grey rock in between them you will have to blast your way through if you wish to fire past them. Once again, super-bolts are much better at this. Do not destroy your walls in haste, for when foes reach them they are killed, although damage your wall significantly. To replenish your wall press W, but this costs -200 Gold for repairs to be made. The aim of the game is to stop the monsters from crossing the yellow/white line for a full five minutes. If they do, you have failed at your task and the castle has been taken by the horde. Good luck! Leave a Like and Favourite to show your support!
*UPDATES* 24/05/17: You can now hit monsters over the head with your ballista. If they get close enough to touch your ballista, metal studs will smash them into the ground, however, they do make wall damage and cost gold. Remember, if you press 'w' you can refurbish your walls for -200 Gold.
