H WHEEZE LOOK AT THOSE SUPER SPARKLYY EYES AND WOW DUSKRAVEN MADE MORE THAN 1 PROJECT IN A WHOL MONTH (woahhh) Press 'space' to continue You can press 'a' to zoom in a little bit and 'b' to zoom back out. I prefer it un-zoomed. Afterwards you can press 'c' and 'd' to show and hide the thumbnail image. _______ Alright, so here is a filler-type of project I put together on a mobile device. It wasn't too bad so far. I used a flash browser because I'm using an iOS device and all. So here it how I do my (rare) pixel art. I put my process so others can review it and critique me on points where I struggle with. This isn't any original character of mine- the boy's features are more or less kind of like me in some ways, haha. I don't have blue hair whh .-. Only time I dyed my hair was for Halloween and the haunted house. Colorful hair is kind of nice though. The canvas was small because I originally wasn't going to upload it to Scratch. N o w here is the basic method I used: 1. Sketch in my personal style. Arrow pointing to head just to remember that is my focus. 2. 'Stretched' the head more horizontally for child-like 'chibi' look. 3. Added more features. Large eyes, small body (only upper becuase I'm lazy). 4. Went over sketch in pixel. I then selected the outer area and inverted it. You can see invert function on the top and most right toolbar on the bottom. 5. Coloring in... Flat colors. 6. I have a habit in putting things in different layers all the time. I duplicated the folder marked '!' To save copy of separate layers in case of a big mistake. Then I merged the layers inside one folder. 7. Highlights and shading to hair... Then the eyes. Dazzling. 8. Finally added shading to skin. I had forgotten about it. 9. Expanded the image so it fits the Scratch project screen size. Added a pretty background (not by me!) Advice: Make sure not to use 'Anti-aliasing' in pixel works! It makes the art look fuzzier. _____ Notes: Art program used : Medibang Paint (it's free) Device used : iPhone (hence the weird screenshot sizes) ((It was necessary to show the invert thing, okay?)) I want a tablet pen T-T All art is mine except for the pixel border things on the thumbnail image. That was made by a friend of mine.
