As a start, I've added velocity (rate of change in position) to the character's movement. The Hitbox system added from the previous update doesn't always work so I might change it to be based on the direction of velocity later. I'm thinking about adding some of the sprites in the studio such as the grave and water bottles. Water bottles are dropped by blue slimes and could be an item that the tree mage requires to grow better trees for example. I am not exactly sure how the grave should work beside showing where you died and you have to go to the grave to get your dropped items. A cool idea that I thought of just now would be to add a cave area where you'll find the pick axe similar to how you found the axe when the game starts. Stone would spawn like trees there. If you stay there for too long maybe tougher monsters like wolfmen start spawning since it's always dark in a cave? When you defeat the slime king, maybe the mage guy shows up again and tells you about the cave? This idea means slightly changing a lot of what has already been scripted to allow for map switching. I would love to see some kind of home system. Building a bed in your home could mean that you have extra lives for example. Or it could be purely cosmetic. I'll continue contributing like this every now and then or when requested as long as the game is endless in one way or another.
