I was persuaded not to do a shoot and destroy game but instead the game is paint the the houses and people, and pop the balloons - no bad guys and no destruction.
The game is based (loosely) upon scramble, see Rokcoders version at https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/156708703/ which I enjoyed Testing how to use just pen, and trying to figure out how much I can do on screen and keep the frame rate high enough. I've rewritten each script many times as the game progresses in order to optimise speed and frame rate. The more I want the game to do the more compromises on colours and detail verses speed happen.
