Icewing's scales are typically white and light blue, but it is not unheard of to have gray scales instead of blue. They usually live in snowy environments, usually in tundras or atop tall mountains. Unlike most dragons who can breathe fire, Icewings can breathe ice and frost, which can sometimes be deadly. They tend to be good flyers.
Queen Solstice (image): The queen of the ice kingdom. She is as cold as the kingdom she rules. She has withdrawn from most of her advisers with one goal in mind, obtain an animus. Around a year ago there was an odd period where she seemed happier and made more public appearances. Some say she had an animus dragon, but that's just a conspiracy theory and has no actual evidence to support it. Prince Fang: The younger brother of Queen Solstice, he tries desperately to make her happy and impress her. After the point when she seemed happy, he became dead set on finding something. Scouring the continent for something, he is rarely home, but when he drops by he always brings Solstice home something from the far lands he travels. The Circle Rankings: These circles, carved into bricks of ice, determine your place in the ice kingdom. There are seven circles, the First Circle being the highest and most preferred, and the Seventh Circle being the lowest. Most of the time, the youngest dragonets are at the bottom, while the older ones are at the top since it takes time for the dragons to work their way up. It is said that adult dragons wear a chain with circles on it, identifying their current ranking. However, those in the same family can pull each other down the rankings. Once a dragonet reaches their seventh hatching day they will move into the adult dragons rankings. The Frostwing Corps: The Frostwing Corps is a special team of especially high-trained soldiers, usually for secretive missions or missions that a battalion of normal soldiers wouldn't normally be able to accomplish. The Frostwing Corps was the first thing Queen Solstice created in the first year of her rulership, originally starting the Corps to successfully hunt down, and even fight and contain animi ( usually with enchanted objects from other animi that Frostwings use to stop rogue animi ), but the Corps eventually became a special force used for general use, such as spy work, and a simple Frostwing is estimated to account for 100 normal soldiers ( this may just be propaganda spread by Solstice to make the Frostwings highly feared/respected ). The leader of the Frostwing group, and personal general under Solstice's wing, is General Storm, and under Storm's wings are the Frostwings Borean, and Chinook. Ice Castle: The ice castle is a glittering spire of ice that is home to a large portion of the ice kingdom's population. Wedged between the sheer cliffs of the cost, it spills over them and onto the plateau on top. But don't let the apparent chaos fool you. The ice kingdom is the most organized kingdom on the continent. At night it glows blue, lit with water from an enchanted spring. The Glowing Spring: Long ago the Ice kingdom was a dark place. No fire made it impossible to travel let alone work at night. Until one day some dragonets stumbled a spring with glowing water. The spring makes the water glow blue, workers freeze it and ship it to all the reaches of the kingdom, keeping the ice kingdom well lit despite the lack of fire.
