Amber's diary was revealed in a smoking cabinet after the Emperor's house burned to the ground. While inspecting the rubble, Amber's body was found. She was clutching this book to her chest. They took her to the hospital, where she was revived. They showed only her closest friends the diary, and Amber has chosen now to reveal it to Scratchers. Poor Amber. All she wanted was to keep this diary a secret, and now it's revealed. She found out what happened to her mother... When her old house burned down because of the dragons, her mother was killed.
