Forest of Kami Background: Lennea and Mazden are siblings in the post war world of Metalica. They live in the Silver Sector, but there are also the Gold Sector, Bronze Sector and the Stronghold. It is called the Stronghold because it was the only known place that survived the war. All of humanity cowered in the Stronghold for years, while nature retook the world. A new threat grew in the leaves and trees. They were the Kamis, a lost people who regained strength after the fourth world war. Finally humans began to regain control of the world. To stop fear from spreading, the government kept the existence of the Kamis a secret from the general public. The lives of people soon returned to normal and a glorious age of technology rose. However the Kamis still exist and are using what seems to be magic to spread the forest and fill it with deadly traps. The human population is expanding and the government needs help to clean these areas. They asked for volunteers in each sector. The citizens only see volunteering as an opportunity to get better grades and jobs. Lennea, Mazden, and some more from their community volunteer, unaware about the true dangers the forest can hold. However, when Nora, Lennea's friend from home, stumbles upon a government secret, she realizes that the Kamis aren't necessarily the ones to blame. Now the group of teens must discover the truth about the Forest of Kami, even if it means leaving everything they know behind.
