Contrary to what the screen says, you do NOT start by pressing the space bar. Just click the green flag and press space as necessary. If you are just copying this project, then follow these instructions when you want to lip sync. 1. For easier programming, use one of the mouth sprites, delete its green flag script, and place it where you want over your character 2. Get the voice recording and make a script in time with when your character is talking. 3. In your script insert a "set variable" block and make it say "set letter to 0." 4. Insert another "set variable" block, set the variable to "whatisay," and type in what you want the mouth to say based on how the words are pronounced. 5. Insert yet another "set variable" block that says "set waitingtime to" and set put in a decimal that will make the script repeat as fast as you need. 6. Put in one last "set variable" block and make it say "set smile? to" and insert yes or no depending on whether you want your character to smile or not (and no caps, please). 7. Insert a "talk" block
I got the music from a demo on a piano. I call this the S.L.A.B. lip syncing software. with it you can lip sync by typing what your sprite is going to say. If you don't wanna see the tutorial, you can just copy this project and get it's talk scripts, but if you wanna learn the hard way, go ahead.
