Blossomtail was having an affair with another tom, and leaves Kesteralberry who was heartbroken. Her kits find out once they become apprentices, and at the time Thornpaw had a grudge against his half brothers and sisters and his mother, who was to be expecting ANOTHER LITTER. Kesteralberry was killed in a battle between clans, leaving the deputy position open. Snowfeather soon takes the roll, and becomes leader.. but is against Thornheart. This angers Thornheart, and drives him mad. He soon kills his mother and her litter of kits and blames a pack of foxes for this. His brother who is now leader, is angered. Suddenly, a battle falls in the camp between Birdclan and theirs, which gives Thornheart the chance. He kills Deerwing who attempts to stop Thornheart from killing Snowstar... He attacks Snowstar with a striking blow down the stomach several times, and kills him.
