ENTRIES DUE BY 25th AUGUST Hey, everyone! You four who entered are awesome ;D Scroll down to get the scores, organisation of the challenge and next challenge. The rest of you, you may just be here to just view one of my projects or you may want to enter a late entry challenge. If you are here for the latter, please scroll down to the very bottom. This is not going to be a normal brackets challenge, if it were there would only 2 rounds. Instead, there will be 5 rounds. In each round, I will rate you from 1st to last. 1st place will receive 3 points, 2nd will receive 2 points and 3rd place will receive 1 point. 4th place and all positions below that will receive 0 points. The topic for this round is Elements A terrible site I put together as an example can be found here. http://infinitehorizons.xyz/demo/ Last Round's Entries ____ 1st Place @Pylar Site - 7.5/10 Potential - 9/10 www.w3schools.com/code/tryit.asp?filename=FHOSV5DQX47E Pylar, your design is amazing and you are a budding web designer. It is very obvious you taught yourself which is amazing. You definitely are not being pushed by what you are doing, you have so much potential as a winner in this contest. Although in my opinion, you have so much potential I am rating you mostly on the design of the site. Good luck! PS. I recommend looking up how to do the width/height of photos for the next round. ____ 2nd Place @Dafuse13443 Site - 7/10 Potential - 5/10 www-drv.com/ site/1xygabu167nxm7qyiqfs9q/Website%20test/Carrot.html Dafuse13443, I love the site you made for this round. From what I see though I predict you either ran out of ideas or your abilities prevented you from coming up with a better site in the end. Your site still managed to get you second place, however, I think this is your best work which is great but is not going to beat your opponents in later rounds. Good luck! PS. Your knowledge of HTML/CSS is obviously great and I don't think you need to work on that, but, maybe you should create a mockup beforehand or just brainstorm a little bit. ____ 3rd Place @SenergyRIZE Design - 3/10 Potential - 8.5/10 https://www.w3schools.com/code/tryit.asp?filename=FHT68O004GQ8 SenergyRIZE, your site was amazing for someone coding their first HTML document. I think you have potential as the winner of this contest and I think you should keep on coding HTML. Good Luck! PS. Maybe before you make the website for the next round you learn simple CSS, maybe just inline CSS. ____ 4th Place (special entry) Design - 3/10 Potential - 7/10 Azux, I gave you permission to do just a design using a graphic editor because I believed you would create something beautiful ( In the end your design not only looked rushed but it had rough edges and looked like it had been done in 2 mins using HTML. For the next round, I expect a lot. ____ Late Entry Challenge The topic for the late entry challenge is a flat design site that showcases your skill. If you wish to have a level playing field, create a Carrot themed website as well. To host your website I recommend the TryIt editor https://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_basic __________________________________________________________________ Thanks, Infinite infinitehorizons.xyz
