That's easy, it comes with scratch! 2) Detecting whether you are logged in. If you aren't, then scratch sets the username to blank. The checks if it is blank or not. 3 ) Detecting whether you are a new scratcher or not, (the hardest bit). Only scratchers have acces to cloud variables, the project tries to change a cloud variable, and if it sees that it hasn't changed, then you're a new scratcher!
