So, this is hard to explain. I used a method to trick the game into getting whatever shiny I wanted. You save the game before putting something into the daycare, then put a Ditto with a Magikarp/Gyarados. (You use Magikarps because they are the quickest to hatch) Begin collecting eggs. Keep track of how many eggs you've hatched. Once/If you get a shiny, remember what number it was, don't save, and reset the game. You may think you're losing a shiny, but you're not. When you start the game back up, you should be at the daycare, before you put anything in. Then, put in a Ditto and a Pokémon that you want to be shiny. Hatch eggs. When you get to the number of eggs the shiny Magikarp was, your Pokémon should be shiny!!!! I was hatching Magikarp eggs and when I got the shiny, I was freaking out. It was only my 6th egg!!! I then reset the game and went trough my PC boxes, trying to find which shiny I wanted. I chose Snivy, and I got my shiny after 6 eggs!!! How this works is that the game has a log of when you will get a shiny. You use Magikarps because they hatch the fastest, so it's a lot quicker. Anyway, the game knows when you get a shiny, so you can manipulate it to be whatever Pokémon you want. I was so so so so so happy to get my second shiny!
