Ragna clipped her dark brown hair into a tight bun, slipping on her boots. She pulled on her cloak, letting the hood fall loose around her face and patted her pocket, making sure her wand was still there. Ragna sighed, flicking her hand. The door swung open, and she walked down the steps of the Brynhild Magistratum, joining the rest of the mages on the side of the dirt road. Eight carriages pulled in beside the mages, dust filling the air, Ragna coughed, as she entered one of the many carriages. It was unmanned, with no horses, and no humans beside herself. "To Sigfrid Orphanage." Ragna murmured, and the wheels immediately started turning. The carriage finally arrived at the small town of Sigfrid near dusk. Ragna walked out of the carriage, small plumes of dust coming up into the air as her boots hit the road. She peered through the darkness, her eyes finally meeting the silhouette of a small building, it looked cottage like, almost like a place where a family might of lived. She summoned a ball of fire in her palm, thrusting her hand forward to let the light cast on the small cottage. She could now see clearly, it was a gray cottage, it would have been an exceptional home for a small family for not the condition of the place. The windows were cracked and the shutters falling off. Shingles from the roof littered the road below the house, she lifted her cloak, as to not get grass over it, and climbed the hill leading to it. She walked up the wooden steps, the planks bending under her boots, the wood eerily creaking. She lightly knocked on the door, hoping not to wake the sleeping orphans.
