~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The boat I was in rocked. That's my first memory. Oh, and that I woke up, a scared little eight-year old girl, terrified of the sounds of the massive bright blue fireworks exploding around the small island where my boat had hit. I could barely make out a town on the island. On the beach, gathered on picnic blankets, was about the population of a town. //About 1,000 people// I thought, then took a double check. //How did I know that?// Honestly, I didn't know my own name. When the boat hit the beach, everyone crowded around me, whispering: "Who IS that?" and "Is she okay?" Being a normal child, I fainted. When I came to... I was in the bedroom of a quite nice home. At first, I totally freaked out. Something about me was saying: "Hey kid! Ya don't belong here!" But, I tried to sit up anyways, and fell over. A slightly plump, friendly-looking woman dressed in a creamy yellow frock entered the room with a tray of... Did I smell bacon? Mmm! "Hello honey." the woman said. "I'm Wendy Monroe, and I'm the vice-mayor of this town." I took a deep breath. "I'm Maria Raven." As the years went by, I grew up as the daughter of Wendy, and her husband, James. They tried their best to help me find my family, but it was to no avail. I couldn't remember a thing about my past- and I was the strangest girl the island had ever seen. I was smarter then many of the high-schoolers, but didn't know what a bike was. And I was shocked to discover swimming pools! But one night, I had a dream. A queenly woman with blue skin, seated on a coral throne, looked at me. I gasped. She looked like me! But older... more elegant. She stared right at me. "Maria." she said. Her voice sounded like honey on vanilla ice cream: sweet, icy, and cold. "My daughter. You are human now, yet one day... one day soon... you will reclaim your throne. You will be princess of Atlantis, and rule with me!" THE END
