Welcome to Maagin (pronounced MA-heen), a mystical island full of magical creatures, adventure, and mystery! Explore the dragon kingdoms, seek out the Lytra, visit the Pyhä Kirjasto, or swim among the Merpeople. CREATURES-------------------------------------------------------------------------- ⋄ Dragons - This race is certainly the largest and most influential. Each Dragon has its own element. The 12 elements are Fire, Ice, Plant, Metal, Air, Earth, Water, Lightning, Light, Dark, Gemstone, and Illusion. All Dragons are highly intelligent, and they can use magic that is connected to their element. Each of these elements are ruled by a King and Queen, who are always the most powerful of their element. Queens -- the more powerful of the two -- are always females, and Kings are males. It is extremely rare to have hybrids of elements, as contact between elements is discouraged. ⋄ Lytra -These creatures are small, cat-like animals with bird's wings. The body and wings vary greatly. For example, one could have an eagle's wings and a panther's body. Lytras live in a well-hidden city. They rarely interact with other creatures on Maagin. A Leader controls all the Lytras, and they are advised by a Council, made up of eight. Incredibly rarely, a Lytra is gifted with a single elemental power. ⋄ Griffins - This noble race has the head, forelegs, and wings of an eagle, but the hind legs of a lion. All Griffins are highly intelligent, and they are the keepers of knowledge in Maagin. The Pyhä Kirjasto, or Sacred Library, is controlled by Griffins. It holds all the knowledge of the world. The Griffin's government is a Council of 12 Griffins, six female, and six male. Very few outsiders are permitted into Griffin territory. ⋄ Merpeople - These mysterious creatures control the seas around Maagin. They often are forced to sink human boats that are attempting to reach the island, for the protection of their fellow magical creatures. They are ruled by a single King, who is always a male. He has complete control over all Merpeople, and his power is passed on to his eldest son. ⋄ Furnäs - These small mammals are the messengers of Maagin. They have two powerful hind legs used to sprint long distances. Their two small arms are ideal for carrying things. They have an incredible memory and sharp hearing. Furnäs can remember any messages. Despite their small size, these animals can run shockingly long distances. ⋄ Räpineilas - These reptilian creatures are humanoid, but completely scaled. The colors of a Räpineilas are generally cool colors, such as blues and muddy browns. They are incredibly persuasive, and just as intelligent as dragons. Not many Räpineilas live on Maagin, and they are all in the Dragon Empire.
Queen Mirage uses all five types of Illusion. She is not a tyrant, but will still try to do whatever her people ask.
