This is a game in which your aim is to shoot targets by clicking on them. The key of the game is shooting targets as fast as possible towards the center of them to rack up points. Controls: Use the mouse to select specific menu options or to aim at targets. Click to shoot a target, or to confirm specific menu options. You will use the keyboard to enter name, start a round, etc. Some menu options allow you to use the mouse or keyboard. First, select a mode. There are 2 modes available: - Round Play: Compete in a 3 or 6 round match, vying for the best total score. This is a hot seat multiplayer mode in which up to 8 human players can compete in a grid of up to 300 contestants. The default is a 10 contestant field. - Score Attack: See how high you can score with only 3 chances! This is a single player mode. You lose a chance each time a target disappears without it being hit. In addition, you gain bonus points for shooting targets without losing lives, called a Chain Bonus. This bonus is reduced by half each time you lose a life. What is the highest score you can achieve? If you select Round Play, decide the number of players from 1 to 8. Game play is turn-based. Use the keyboard or mouse to choose the amount of CPU opponents and their difficulty level, how you would like to play the game and how long you want to play, and the total amount of targets for the match. Increasing the amount of targets may change the interval in which targets appear to fit each round's time limit. When ready, click OK or FAST PLAY. After doing this, enter the names you would like to be referred to in-game for the Player Introductions and Round/Match Results leader boards, or use one of the 300 pre-set names in the list. Before a match starts, you will see how a specific game mode works. Press SPACE when ready. In Round Play, the game will determine who is up next. Look carefully to see if it is you, and then press SPACE to begin. If you don't know what player number you are, refer to this table: - P1: Blue - P2: Red - P3: Green - P4: Yellow - P5: Pink - P6: Orange - P7: Cyan - P8: Purple - CPU: Gray The key to scoring well in either mode is shooting the targets as fast as possible while also aiming for the center. To shoot a target, "click" on it. The maximum point total for each target is 100. In Score Attack, targets are worth more points the more targets you hit without losing lives. In later rounds in Round Play only, the targets move, so keep an eye on them! In FAST PLAY, they move twice as fast. When playing with the Beginner play style, there is no distance bonus and the only thing of shooting targets is hovering over the targets once they appear as quickly as possible. In Score Attack only, you will be able to see if you're beating your Session Best or not with the Pace display at the top of the screen. If you did not set a record since you've launched the project, this will be "-----". In Round Play only, the time limit per round is 60 seconds or 30 in FAST PLAY. When everyone has finished a round, the Result screen appears. You will see each player's score and position, press SPACE to see the top 10 performers of the round. Press SPACE again to see the current results for the match. After each round, you can also check the total combined score of each player in the leader board. After all the rounds, the player with the best total score is the "Champion"! After finishing a match, you can save the match results as a text file to your computer's HDD by clicking the blue "View/Save Results" words in the Congratulations screen, right-clicking the list and by selecting Export, then giving your match file a name. You may have to click "See inside" first. If you don't wish to play the game and instead listen to sounds, click Audio Options on the Title Screen. You can use the Sound Test to listen to the 172 sounds in the game. You can even change other audio-based settings. Use the keyboard or mouse to change specific audio settings to suit your preference or to select which sound to play. You can also click the "All" button next to the Play symbol to the right of it to play all 172 sounds, nonstop. Continue: If you press the Green Flag before completing a Round Play match, the game will ask you if you would like to Continue where you left off. Enter "Y" to continue the game or enter "N" to start a new game. You will be asked if you would like to start a new game, as doing this will erase your Continue data. If playing this Online, your Continue data will be erased when you leave the project. Please post comments on any bugs you might find with this game. Have fun!
A fun game in which you shoot targets! This project takes advantage of these Scratch features: - Custom Blocks: To make sorting and writing numbers on the screen faster, especially in a grid of 300 players - Clones: This allows many targets to appear on the screen at one time - Sound Editor: Makes a complexity of sounds in the game as such, as well as some sounds coming from 2 sources combined - Local Time: When viewing/saving results from a Round Play match, the Start and End dates and times are logged from the date and time from your PC Game Features: - Battle against up to 299 other competitors on a 3 or 6 round match in Round Play using custom settings - Battle for the highest score and World Record while shooting as much targets as possible in Score Attack - Hot seat multiplayer allows up to 8 players to play the Round Play mode. This is said to be my 1st project in which it can allow 5 or more human players in one PC. - You can use one of the 300 pre-set names to play the Round Play mode - Change game and audio settings to suit your preference - Listen to sounds used in the game (total 172, the most amount of sounds ever in one of my Scratch Projects!) I created the images myself, though some images are from the DDR A game. Most of the sounds are edited cuts of sounds from YouTube videos that come from Mario Party games, DDR games, NASCAR and F1 broadcasts and games, Mario & Sonic games, and even more. In addition, the 300 names in the pre-set list are mostly based off these above of my choices. A couple of names in the game are also from movies. I give credit to every asset that appears in this game to the original developers. Music Used: 1. Cycling: Team Pursuit (Wii), Omnium (3DS) / Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games 2. Don't Look Down / Mario Party 7 3. Can You Feel The Sunshine? / Sonic R NOTE 1: All the names that appear in this game in addition to all the sounds referring to names should only be used for as player contestants for this project. In addition, the only thing that refers to any of the 300 pre-set names in this project are sounds, NOT images. NOTE 2: There is a 5-second delay in updating Online High Scores after finishing a game in Score Attack. NOTE 3: Some quotes have the word "race" or such similar ones, but this isn't a racing game.
