Designed for use with a Makey Makey, this Scratch program will calculate how many minutes/seconds/milliseconds it takes for your car to travel from the starting gate to the ending gate. You'll have to build switches at each point you want to start and end the timer. This program is written so that after you press the space bar, when you lift the starting gate you break the connection between the right arrow and the earth. The up arrow (and earth) stops the timer.
Again, this was remixed from Colleen and Aaron Graves Makey Makey Distance, Rate, and Time project. This program was written for a specific lesson where students measure the speed of a car on a ramp built at a certain angle. Students then adjust the angle and measure again. Speed is calculated by dividing the distance traveled by time.
