Move your mouse around and simulate blocking the Sun's light!
I added greater color depth and I simplified the method of determining the color. I also made the color changing more realistic! In addition, I improved the method of calculating the distance. Here is the description with minor editorial changes. On Monday, August 21st the US will experience a solar eclipse. NOTE: Do not look directly at the sun (in real life)! This can cause permanent eye damage! If you are going to look at the eclipse, make sure to wear eye wear that meets NASA's standards. This project is not too scale. The visuals are used to help give an approximate understanding about what's happening. What is a solar eclipse? A solar eclipse is when the sun, moon, and earth all line up. The Moon blocks light from the sun and casts a shadow on Earth. A solar eclipse can only happen at New Moon. If you live anywhere in the United States, you will see at least a partial solar eclipse.
