Practice using Scratch's coordinate system by hunting for buried coins! Move Scratch by pointing your mouse. Try to match up Scratch's coordinates with the target coordinates at the top left. His metal detector will beep at higher pitches to tell you you're getting warmer. Practice Mode: A helper grid assists your search. Coordinates start off simple and get progressively more complex. Timed Mode: Coordinates are randomly generated. Find 10 coins as quickly as possible.
Note for educators: I've inserted a couple of accommodations for exceptional students. • A keyboard command to switch the grid back on during timed mode • A keyboard command that makes a small apple graphic appear at the target coordinates They're hidden in the code to discourage cheating, but should be pretty simple to find if you're interested. Coordinates in practice mode can be adjusted by modifying the Practice Coordinates list. Go to the Data tab and click the checkbox next to Practice Coordinates to make the list visible. You will need to remix the game to make your changes stick.
