They are in leaf-fall and an oak leaf drifts into the nursery. She names the kit Oakkit. Oakkit is very adventorous and outgoing. When goldentail moves into the nursery, She gets a crow from the fresh-kill pile, extracts the feathers and lines goldentails new nest with them. She says that goldentail has worked hard being a warrior and deserves a comfy nest. Seven moons later, she and her denmate, twistkit become apprentices. The apprenticeship was delayed due to floods and falling trees. they earn the names Twistpaw and Oakpaw. Oakpaw receves Goldentail as her mentor and Twistkit gets meadowfur. Twelve moons later, Twistpaw and Oakpaw recieve their warrior names. Twistpaw becomes Twistflower and Oakpaw becomes oakfrost. Goldentail and meadowfur become elders. Meadowfur has her name changed to smalltail. There is a battle between thunderclan and windclan. Snowleaf tries to destroy the fresh kill pile, stuffing rabbits with deathberries. She gets attacked by Schorchstrike. He stuffes them down her throaght. Oakfrost was told to help poison the fresh kill pile but she ran off, pretending she didn't hear. If she had been there, her mother wouldn't have died. After that day, Oakfrost allways did what she was told.
