The Journal just folded.'" When I read the story, most of the time I was eager to read more. One historical event that occurred was an unnamed war in the 70s. Some of the emotions he showed in his writing were happy, sad, excited, surprised, disappointed, worried, and relieved. The setting of the book was in the 1900s in The United States, specifically California. A tough time in the book was Sid having to serve in the war. You can tell it was tough because he talks about that time in a darker tone. A happy time in the book was when Sid got his first book published, getting married, graduating college, having kids, and winning the war. Yes, the mood/tone changed when the chapter started and stopped to talk about a different story. Sid shared actions and words such as 'excited', 'surprised', 'relieved', 'relieved', 'heart-dropping', 'oh no' and more.
